Yes, that's an average height person and to the best of our knowledge, the Basso Profundo is not only the largest wind chime from Music of the Spheres ®, Inc., it's also the largest wind chime in the world. The Basso Profundo is only tuned to the Quartal tuning, actually, the Expanded Quartal. Our collective goal is to have a location big enough to hang one of these. Yes, we've seen one in person. There is no way that we can convey the majesty of this instrument in words or over a speaker. If you're lucky enough to have a place for these, the price is cheap and we believe you'll never ever regret it. The Basso Profundo is 168" long from the knot to the wind catcher. That's 14 feet! You could stand on your friend's head and still not be as tall as this wind chime. We recommend clearance of at least 18 feet. It uses 5" diameter tubing and weighs 200 pounds! These are made to order and ship via truck. We will inform you of the freight cost prior to processing your order.
